<span data-metadata=""><span data-buffer="">On the Hunt: Using "Bug Bounties" As a Crowdsourced Website Testing Tool

Those of us who have worked or who currently work in a small business know the importance of wearing multiple hats. Juggling hats is a hard thing to do, and when you’re in charge of the company website, that extra hat sometimes can be too much to handle.

Squash those bugs with company crowdsourcing!

Have you redesigned your website only to be told by a visitor that some links aren’t working? Or do you find that a redirect isn’t redirecting way after you’re supposedly “done” with your testing period? You’re only one person,  and sometimes when you’ve been starting at something too long, things can slip through the cracks.

Next time you redesign your website, release the website “early” on a test server to your small business’ employees. Then, incentivize them to go through the website and find your typos, dead links, bad redirects, wonky graphics, not-mobile-friendly pages, and all those other things you need to fix before you send your website out into the world.

The person who finds the most “bugs” could win a gift card or another prize of your choosing!

Just a thought!
